There is not much to say about the island of Santorini in Greece except that it is stunningly beautiful. It is one of my Top 5 places to visit in the World. (The others being: 1. the islands of Murano and Burano, Italy, famous for Venetian glassblowing and fine handmade lace — a tradition stretching back to the Renaissance; 2. Medellin, Colombia, one of the most biodiverse countries in the world; 3. The Falkland Islands a windswept archipelago in the South Atlantic Ocean home to the largest King Penguin Colony; 4. Armacos dos Buzios, Brazil, a stunning peninsula with more than 20 beaches, it’s often compared to St. Tropez, but with a Brazilian soul.

But Santorini, Greece is #1.

Here’s why.

Every turn revels another surprise.

The calamari was delicious, the view from our restaurant was outstanding including a great view of our ship.

All in all, we had a terrific day in Santorini, Greece.
