I have been to Panama numerous times both for pleasure and business. Some years ago, I invested in an organic mango plantation, but it is always nice to return to visit with old friends.

Joe Wilmoth is a serial entrepreneur from California, and he and his wife, Dr. Luz Pazmino, a Doctor of Nutrition at John Hopkins in Panama City have lived in Panama for many years. Joe and I invested in in a global travel and coworking business center in Medellin, Colombia named The Global Express Center. Joe is now the Managing Director of that project.

Above is a little information about Joe and Luz from a recent magazine article on “Movers and Shakers” in Panama and one of Joe’s recent projects.

And if you couldn’t tell from the photo, Joe was a football fullback and ex-rugby player. He makes me look small!

Thirdmill Update:

We are once again partnering with Thirdmill (Thirdmill.org) to support their work around the world. We will connect with Thirdmill students once we arrive in Australia in March. After Australia, we will focus primarily on Asia. We anticipate a lot of activity from the beginning of March through the middle of April.

Around the world, pastors and church leaders are faithfully serving God’s people with little access to formal theological training. One of the most urgent needs they face is learning how to interpret Scripture clearly and responsibly so that sound doctrine informs their teaching, preaching, and discipleship.

For more than a decade, Thirdmill has addressed this need through their series He Gave Us Scripture: Foundations of Interpretation. As their global mission has grown, so has their responsibility to serve students well. Thirdmill is now preparing to release a refreshed version of He Gave Us Scripture.
